(decided to start off with a quote)
**Everybody gets one chance to do something great. Most people never take the chance, either because they're too scared, or they don't recognize it when it spits on their shoes. Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die.**
Haven't updated in quite a bit...sorry haven't had much time lately and when I do all I can think about doing is catching up on sleep or hanging out with friends. :) I have been home from Orlando almost 2 weeks now and I can't wait to go back to school. Luckily, I move in the 12th which is this upcoming Wednesday for RA training. Yesterday was a very stressful day concerning the entire RA [[resident assistant]] deal because this year our dorms are going co-ed so they had decided that I was a great candidate for Brown Hall which is going to be one of the two co-ed dorms this year. Unfortunately, this would not work out because the entire softball team is housed upstairs in Craven this year and of course, I want to be with my teammates. Had a talk with the head of RA's and coach and sounds like they are getting everything straightened out and I will end up back in Craven, thankfully. :)
This past week has gone be entirely too slow but it is finally Saturday so I am going to quit complaining about that little aspect. Angie started volleyball this week for school so it's official...she's a freshmen in high school and boy do I feel old. lol After the first day of practice the coaches had her start practicing with JV and thursday she was told in her conference with the coaches that they were moving her up to JV this year permanantly. I am so proud of her and can't wait to see her games!! Yesterday they had 3 scrimmages in Van which I got to see and she played great. Today she had 3 more in Carthage but was not able to go because I was getting ready for the cookout later today but my parents said she did amazing today...had parents coming up to her saying she should be on Varsity. I think that is a bit of a jump for her even though I know she is good...just don't think she is ready for that responsibility and stress or that she is at that level of maturity; it's just a really big step.
Today we are having a cookout with family friends...mainly other teachers that my mom works with and their families. They had one at the beginning of the summer that I did not get to go to because of the fact that I was in Florida. It is usually a crawfish boil but this week the people that we usually get the crawfish from have not had any luck at all catching any. So we will be cooking chicken, shrimp and sausage...i'm not complaining because i prefer chicken and shrimp over crawfish anyways. :p Then tomorrow Ali is having her little birthday party so we are going to Six Flags for that...she invited a few friends and let Angie and I both bring a friend. :) Can't wait for that because it's been about a year since I've been to Six Flags, which is a huge difference from last year considering I went as many times as possible since I had the joy of owning a season pass. lol So I must say I believe this weekend is going to be a great last weekend at home!!!
Well, I've got to go...Amber is getting close to the house and I have to meet her somewhere in Whitehouse so that she can follow me to the house. :) Hope everyone has an AMAZING weekend!
